4 years, 100%, E13 TV-L, in the field of »VR and Lifespan Development«The positions are part of the Momentum project «Digital Lifespan Psychology: Maximize benefits and minimize risks of immersive Virtual Reality for humans and societies» funded by the Volkswagen Stiftung.This research program addresses the benefits and risks of virtual reality for both individual users and societies in two research areas taking a lifespan perspective. Please see the project description for further details: https://www.psychologie.uni-heidelberg.de/arbeitseinheit/alternsforschung/projekte We are seeking motivated and talented individuals who have a keen interest in bringing together research on socio-emotional development and virtual reality. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research within an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment.Your profile and tasks:Passionate about Research: You have a genuine interest in the topics of socio-emotional development in adolescence/ adulthood and virtual reality Methodological Expertise: You possess experience with advanced data analytic methods, such as for longitudinal and micro-longitudinal data (e.g., SEM, ML) Academic Accomplishments: You have a proven track record of publications in English, peer-reviewed journals and hold a PhD in psychology or related empirical behavioral sciences Language Proficiency: You have excellent written and spoken English skills, and (close to) fluent German language skills Commitment to Open Science: You are experienced with open science and transparent research practices Team Player: You are highly committed to research, capable of working effectively in a team, and skilled in organizing projects and managing your own workload The main tasks include conducting research, including project management, publishing scientific results at conferences and articles, collaborating in the team and supervising (PhD) students.
