We - the Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt) - are a higher federal authority within the remit of the Federal Ministry of Finance. Our main office is in Bonn. Other offices are located in Berlin, Saarlouis and Schwedt. With around 2,400 employees, we perform central tax tasks with a national and international focus. We are looking for several people to work at our Bonn office as soon as possible IT quality assurance and automation clerk (m/f/d) The posts are graded according to salary group A 12 BBesG and the jobs according to pay group 11 TVöD and are generally also suitable for part-time employment. The BZSt is pursuing a comprehensive digitalization strategy and is in the middle of a transformation process. By using new technologies (e.g. AI applications, low-code applications) and developing modern specialist applications, digitized, data-driven processes are being established in the specialist areas, which enable automation-supported work and data-based decisions. IT quality assurance supports the development of complex IT processes/IT components in linear and agile software development projects. The focus here is on the planning and implementation of acceptance tests. To this end, IT Quality Assurance develops both manual and automated test procedures. The planned medium-term use of low-code applications and the use of artificial intelligence methods will also increase the proportion of automated test procedures. With your IT expertise, you will support our tax experts and thus make a key contribution to future-proofing the BZSt in the digital transformation process. You will actively shape the digital transformation of the BZSt through the quality assurance of IT software developments and automation and perform the following tasks in particular: Holistic IT quality assurance of complex IT processes/IT components in linear and agile software development projects by planning and carrying out acceptance tests Test preparation includes checking technical requirements, planning test activities, creating test cases and the associated test data, functional testing of the test environment, creating test case documentation Test execution includes the coordination and execution of tests, documentation of test progress, documentation of errors found Test follow-up includes, in particular, supporting the specialist department in defining acceptance criteria, maintaining test data, preparing error post-tests and regression tests, updating test documentation Development of applications for test automation e.g. programming for the automation of test cases Development and quality assurance of low-code applications for automation e.g. programming of robotic process automation tools Communication with the tax departments of the BZSt, the IT service provider ITZBund and the IT development teams Representation of the Federal Government in international working groups of the OECD and the EU Business trips of up to ten days per year may be required to carry out the tasks. Your profile: You have completed a bachelor's or diploma degree with at least 180 ECTS credits in (business or administrative) computer science or a comparable, computer science-related bachelor's or diploma degree (e.g. IT security, IT management or data science) If you are already a civil servant in the higher civil service, you are only eligible to apply if you hold at least one post in grade A 10 and are a civil servant for life if you graduated from a foreign university, you must also provide proof of German language skills comparable to level C 1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or an equivalent recognized language certificate at least two years of professional experience in information technology related to the field of work after graduation is mandatory You also have knowledge and practical experience in the programming and database languages SQL and Python (e.g. proven by certificates or modules taken during your studies) Possession of an ISTQB certificate as a software tester is an advantage.
