Job Description Research and teaching activities in the field of social inequalities, wealth, social cohesion, health, environment, or a combination thereof. Teaching schedule: 5 semester hours per week (SWS); participation in research projects, publications in international journals and (assistance with) the acquisition of new third-party funding projects. Supporting further Chair tasks relating to teaching, examinations, and self-administration. Furthering your own academic qualifications, with the goal of a successful academic career. Requirement Profile Very good university degree (Master’s degree or comparable and preferably doctorate) in sociology, demography, public health, or related subjects. For civil servant status, a successfully completed doctorate or second state examination in the above subjects. Research interest and knowledge in social inequalities, wealth, social cohesion, health, environment or a combination thereof and excellent skills in data management and statistical methods of longitudinal and causal analysis, as well as in the writing and publishing of scientific texts. Very good IT and English skills (C1) are required. Applicants with no knowledge of German should be prepared to quickly acquire the necessary language skills. Ability to work in a team and in a structured manner.
